A key theme was the strategic role of governance in AI adoption, emphasizing the need for balance between control and flexibility. Julie stressed that governance is about ensuring business value, stating, “We all want to work fast. Get an MVP. They encouraged data professionals to become better storytellers, advocating for governance’s role in driving cost optimization, decision accuracy, and AI reliability.
