Speakers:
James Price – Founder and Managing Director, Experience Matters
James is the lead author of “Information Asset Management”, a book based on ethics approved, peer reviewed research and written to explain why it is important to govern and manage an organization’s data, information and knowledge the way they manage their money; James has designed, developed and delivers a lecture series on the topic of Data Privacy, Governance and Quality to postgraduate students of the Business School of the University of South Australia; He is Chair of the Data Leaders, a worldwide volunteer group of some of the greatest minds in this space and member of the newly formed special interest group called The Transformation Collective, specializing in business transformation across public and private sectors. James is also a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, a Council Member of DAMA Australia, an Associate of RIMPA Global and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the EDM Council.
Jean Ciancio – Marketing and Partner Engagement Manager, Experience Matters
Jean has worked in partnership with large organizations such as Microsoft, Telstra, Exedee, Service Victoria and the Department of Government Services. More recently Jean served as the Manager of MAV Technology at the Municipal Association of Victoria. In her role, she oversaw the provision of technological support for the Victoria Public Sector, encompassing 79 councils, stakeholders, council memberships, training, events and activations.
Jean is also Chair to the newly formed special interest group called The Transformation Collective, specializing in business transformation across public and private sectors.
Dr. Nina Evans – Associate Professor, University of South Australia
Associate Professor Nina Evans is currently a Professorial Lead in UniSA:STEM at the University of South Australia and an experienced academic. She holds tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Education, and Computer Science, a Masters’ in Information Technology, an MBA and a PhD. Nina teaches Masters’ courses in Information Management and Governance, Business Process Modeling and IT Stakeholder Engagement. Her research focuses on Data, Information and Knowledge Asset Management, Adoption and Use of Emerging Technologies, as well as Digital Business Transformation and The Future world of work.
She is also an experienced PhD supervisor and co-supervisor – she currently works on projects in areas such as misinformation, the adoption of AI in SMEs, and intergenerational engagement in immersive virtual environments.
Nina has published extensively in high level academic journals and conferences, and she authored four books (including a book on Information Asset Management with James Price, published by Routledge in 2024).
