Welcome to EDM Association’s Women Data Professionals Forum. Both our members and guests are invited to participate in this open interest group.

We are excited about this initiative to advance women in our profession and build an active and effective community.

The mission of the Women Data Professionals group is to provide support for and promote women in the field of data and assist in their development and promotion to more senior roles.

2026 WDP Mentorship Program NOW OPEN!

We are very excited for our fifth year offering women the opportunity to participate in the EDM Association’s Women Data Professionals Mentoring Program!  This year, the Program  will once again be offered in three regions – North America, APAC and EMEA – making it accessible to the entire WDP Global Community. Registration ends February 11, 2026.

Program Details:

The Program will bring together groups of mentees and mentors into small teams that will meet virtually four times during the spring. Participants will commit to 6-7 hours over the course of the four months from March to June. The program will also include an inclusive wrap-up event in June where all participants are welcomed to share thoughts, feedback and ideas for future programs.

Eligibility for Mentees:

  • Women who have work experience and have a desire to learn from their peers
  • Attendance at a mandatory prep session

Mentee Registration

Eligibility for Mentors:

  • Women and men with 20+ years of work experience
  • Attendance at a mandatory prep session

All women data professionals will be welcome to apply – no need to be a member of EDM WDP (of course, we encourage you to join WDP. More to come in January 2026!

Women Data Professionals Summit – December 2024

THANK YOU to all who participated in our December 2024 summit! EDM Council’s Women Data Professionals  proudly presented the Women Data Professionals Summit – made by women data professionals and open to ALL.

Our keynote and panel sessions focused on our theme of AI Readiness to Real Value: Accelerating Enterprise AI Adoption. The world of data and AI are moving fast and are critical topics for today’s leaders in any industry. But the key is understanding how data, analytics and AI can drive mission success in any organization.

There are many opportunities to get involved, whether you are seeking guidance, providing your perspective or professional support, or just looking to connect and expand your network.

The group’s dedicated area within EDMConnect (our online portal) provides a central location for information exchange and collaboration:

  • Join our online discussions on relevant topics
  • Contribute to our blog with your thoughts and ideas
  • Access educational and other material in a virtual library
  • Attend our calendar of events, highlighting where our members are participating
  • Find contacts in the group directory and network with them
  • Participate as a mentor or mentee in our Mentoring Program (see below)

The group is global. We are organized into regional chapters – Americas, EMEA and APAC – and we also have committees that look after different initiatives and activities. Leadership positions are also available.
