Join us for an exciting webinar on September 23rd: Modernizing Tactical Microgrids with TMS & DDS, presented by expert speakers Nina Tucker, Twin Oaks Computing and Gerardo Pardo, RTI.

Tactical microgrids are important for resilient, distributed, and expeditionary power systems. However, achieving practical interoperability across generators, storage systems, controllers, power electronics, loads, and monitoring tools requires more than network connectivity. Devices must share common data models, communication patterns, quality-of-service expectations, and runtime behavior. Notably, these systems are organically assembled with new components added and removed in fielded operational systems. Moreover, capabilities evolve as new microgrid technology becomes available.

This webinar introduces the US Army’s Tactical Microgrid Standard (TMS) and explains how TMS and the Data-Distribution Service (DDS) work together to support interoperable and dynamic tactical energy systems.

Interoperability is enabled by the DDS standards, however real life interoperability happens when users of the DDS technology bring together multiple DDS products in one system. Tactical microgrids built on the TMS architecture are one example. This webinar presents results from early adopters of TMS, as well as ongoing DDS interoperability validation efforts.
