DataVision is the EDM Council’s global, in-person event series. Our Toronto event took place on June 13, 2024, at the offices of Deloitte in Toronto. Participants of this half-day, thought-provoking conference learned from industry experts and practitioners – and networked with peers – as we explored critical data management and advanced analytics topics.

The purpose of the Keynote is to furnish Canadian entities with a comprehensive overview of the European Union (EU) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act. Noemi and Preeti will engage in a discussion pertaining to the regulatory environment surrounding AI, encompassing both cross-sector and sector-specific regulations. Furthermore, they will present a principle-based framework that prioritizes innovation and clarify how it applies to the regulation of AI systems under the EU AI Act. This framework will showcase different AI use cases and expound upon the key requirements and transparency obligations that must be adhered to.
