DCAM covers the unique requirements associated with the management of meaning (data architecture, identification management, taxonomies, glossary development), the challenges of ensuring fit-for-purpose quality (business rule, data dimensions, control processes, supply chain management) and the art of working in the midst of continuously evolving organizational priorities.
Using an interactive format, the Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) was created for the real world and is structured in a way that delivers measurable business value and covers all capabilities and processes needed for sustainable data management.
The DCAM Framework – This two-day course provides a comprehensive perspective on capabilities needed to develop and implement a practical data management program. The curriculum is organized into six core components covering over 100 essential data management capabilities. Each capability is supported by a series of requirement statements including specific objectives, scoring guidance, implementation advice and artifacts needed for evaluation of data management programs. The DCAM Framework combines both the prior DCAM Foundations and Applied Courses into a comprehensive full two day course. Completion of this training provides the student with advanced accreditation.
